1. What are Marble Tiles?
1.1. Definition
Marble tiles are certainly no longer unfamiliar to many; they are one of the most popular tiling choices in interior decoration. Marble-effect tiles are essentially porcelain tiles with a wavy surface and veining patterns, authentically simulating the cut surfaces of natural marble.

1.2. Origin
Marble is a very popular natural stone, quarried and cut into slabs for numerous applications, and has been a prominent building material for millennia. It is a metamorphic rock formed when sedimentary rock, such as limestone, is transformed under the influence of heat and pressure into a harder stone with beautiful colors and patterns.

Marble tiles are manufactured to realistically replicate natural marble surfaces, becoming an ideal alternative to natural stone.
1.3. Characteristics
Beyond mimicking veining patterns, marble floor tiles also offer qualities comparable to natural stone. While the delicate veining of marble creates an utterly unique floor, modern marble tiles can achieve a remarkably similar appearance and can now be produced to realistically imitate a wide range of materials, including natural stone and wood.

Although industry professionals might tell the difference, marble tile flooring can create a nearly identical look, especially if a skilled installer pays close attention to laying tiles so the simulated veining appears convincingly random.

The greatest advantage of marble flooring tiles is that they are significantly less expensive than natural marble. Natural marble flooring comes with high costs and difficult installation and maintenance. Marble tiles are definitely a product worth considering.
1.4. Dimensions
Marble-look floor and wall tiles are well known in popular sizes: 600×600, 800×800, 600×1200 and decorative formats like subway tiles, mosaics, strips, hexagons, etc.

Dimensions of marble-look tiles
In particular, large-format marble tiles cannot be overlooked: 750×1500, 800×1600, 1000×1000, 1200×1200, or 1800×3600… a format increasingly favored thanks to the grandeur and sophistication it brings to spaces.
